Lauren is currently in the developmental stages of her play 'Hot Tamales,' which discusses themes of identity, culture, belonging, and family dynamics from a child's perspective. She participated in a playwriting lab at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, where she her writing with other playwrights and received valuable feedback. Additionally, a 10-page excerpt of her play was performed by actors for an audience. Throughout this journey, she has been mentored by playwright and director Kelly McAllister.
